The Photo Competition

I know, I know, it’s been a while! And it’s not that I had forgotten about it, but… busy, and a few other worthless excuses. So here it is. The all new, all shiny “A Guide to Cardinia Photo Competition”!

I think I was a little too ambitious with the last one, and that’s – in part – why it’s taken so long for the next one. But after a brief and very fulfilling conversation with one of my favourite people, we’ve come up with a plan.

One of the guiding principles – if not THE guiding principle – of A Guide to Cardinia is to show off our Shire. The Photo Competition is a fantastic way to do that, because it is of our Shire and by our Shire (mostly). And so, this time around, it’s going to run a bit differently, and a little more focused on achieving that principle.

So, here’s how it is going to work.
1. The photo must be taken within Cardinia Shire (nothing new there)
2. The photographer should “Like” the Facebook page (nothing new there)
3. It will run monthly, from the 1st of the month to the last day of the month (starting with May – so May 1 to May 31)
4. Photos must be posted to the A Guide to Cardinia Facebook page and tagged “Photo Competition”.
5. At the end of the month, the photo with the most likes will be the winner, and as such, will become the cover image for A Guide to Cardinia (with the winner’s name attributed to it)
6. There will be a different theme for each month – for May, it will be “Autumn” (tough one, I know)
7. The photograph does not have to be taken in the same month as the competition it is entered in – but each photo can only be entered once.
And that’s it!
So, get clicking, and get your best shots ready to show off the Shire.. because it really is an amazingly beautiful place, all over
