Cardinia Official Australia Day Celebrations
Location: Cardinia Cultural Centre, 40 Lakeside Blvd Pakenham, 3810
Time: 12.00 pm – 4.00 pm
The Lakeside Residents Group is organising Cardinia Australia Day event activities to be held around the Cardinia Cultural Centre for 2020.
Coinciding with the end of the official Australia Day activities inside the Cultural Centre, Lakeside Residents Group invites all new residents and their families to attend an afternoon of free family fun!
There will be outdoor stage entertainment, with all rides, amusements and food (excluding coffee and ice creams) to be free.
Come along and enjoy: hot Sikh snacks, Gurdwara Siri Guru Nanak Darbar Officer, the Lakeside Adventist Community’s (ADRA) fruit cups, hot dogs from Khans Hospitality Services, Lamingtons from Coles and barbecues (beef and chicken sausage’s and veggie burgers).
The afternoon will also provide free activities fior the whole family, including; face painters, Henna art, balloon twister, animal petting farm, big and small jumping castles, reptiles and Chair-O-Plane, mini ferris wheel, pony rides and much more!
The Police, CFA and Neighbourhood Watch will also be in attendance!
Bunyip & District Australia Day Celebration
Location: Bunyip Hall
Time: Starts at 9:30 am
We are very fortunate to have the highly acclaimed entertainer and composer, Peter Sullivan, as our Bunyip & District Australia Day Ambassador for 2020. Peter Sullivan is an award-winning composer, producer, arranger, band leader and performer.
Lang Lang Australia Day Awards Ceremony & Celebrations
Location: Lang Lang Memorial Hall

Cockatoo Australia Day Community Breakfast and Awards
Location: Cockatoo Playground – Alma Treloar Reserve
Time: 7:30 am – 10:30 am
***FREE*** Breakfast from 7.30AM – egg and bacon rolls, snags in bread, pancakes with all the toppings, fresh fruit salad, tea, coffee and juice. Coffee van also onsite to purchase coffee if you prefer.
At 9AM we have Cockatoo’s own local Australia Day Awards, including Citizen, Young Citizen, Senior Citizen, and Community Event of the Year; and performances by some of our very talented local musicians, as well as Cockatoo CFA and Emerald SES onsite with their trucks.
After the awards, we have the very special launch of the Cockatoo History Group’s new book “Voices from the Past” followed by pavlova and fresh local berries for morning tea….Yum!

Australia Day Movie Night

There will be Aussie themed music, free popcorn, and slushie drinks, as well as a jumping castle and some games to play. 🍿
Arrive anytime after 7pm – Movie starts at dusk
In the Aussie theme we will be showing the Australian classic… THE CASTLE
